With an astounding passion for nature, Woempa has grown to accommodate 30 species of game and offers remarkable genetics to investors.
Woempa Game Breeders is situated on the farm, Retief, between Baltimore and Tolwe in the Koedoesrand area, where a great variety of scarce game is bred. The Fouchee family have been breeding intensively with South Africa’s top genetics since 2003. The entire family has an astounding passion for nature and that is why we want to breed these animals of excellence for the game industry. Our superior genetics produce, amongst others, remarkable Sable sires measuring 49,25”. We farm with over 30 species. We are also a Professional Hunting Outfitter.
History
Our farm, Retief, is 1700 ha and was purchased in 2003. We started by building a few camps, and bought ‘Woempa’, a West-Zambian Sable bull, and from there we started our endeavour. We farm with approximately 30 species, and employ 8 people full time to help with the day-to-day management of game farming and hunting. We are affiliated with WRSA and SA Hunter’s Association
